The ancestral pilgrimage in December 2024 was my first visit to Kinmen. 

            Both my parents’ ancestors came from Kinmen: my father’s ancestors came from Hou Feng Gang(后丰港), and my mother’s ancestors came from Xi Yuan(西园). 

            Although I didn’t arrange my own itinerary to go to Hou Feng Gang  or Xi Yuan, this trip to Kinmen allowed me to experience Kinmen’s natural scenery, including Kinmen’s version of “Moses Parts the Sea” at Jian Gong Islet, and deepened my understanding of the history and culture of my ancestral homeland. 

            Whether it was the enthusiasm of the representatives or staff of the Kinmen County Government, or the friendliness of the locals encountered while visiting the attractions, I was deeply impressed. 

            Visiting the buildings constructed by the people of Kinmen who went abroad to seek a living, and listening to the tour guide talk about the lives of the Kinmen forefathers, made me deeply admire the pioneering and hardworking spirit of my ancestors. I also hope this will inspire my own life, encouraging me to move forward positively when faced with difficulties.

2024年12月的寻根之旅是我首次去金门。 

我父母两的祖先都来自金门：父亲那边的祖先来自后丰港、母亲那边的祖先来自西园。 

虽然我没有自行安排行程去后丰港或西园，但此次的金门之旅带我体验了金门的自然风光，包括了金门版的【摩西分海】建功屿，也加深了我对原乡的历史文化的了解。 

无论是金门县政府各个代表或工作人员的热情，或者是参观景点时遇到的当地人的友善，都让我印象深刻。 

参观了到外谋生的金门人建的楼房，也听了导游说起旧时金门人的生活让我非常敬佩先辈们勇于尝试、刻苦耐劳的精神，也希望这对我自己的人生有所启发，在遇到困难时鼓励我积极向前
